How the relationship works

The sponsor

Presents its investment and offering information to interested investors.

The investor

Evaluates the opportunity, completes their own due diligence and makes the investment decision.

Preferred Trust

Administers the self-directed retirement account and processes properly documented investor instructions.

Preferred Trust does not recommend, evaluate or endorse any investment.

The Opportunity

Give eligible investors another way to participate

An interested investor may have retirement assets available but be unsure whether those funds can be used for an alternative investment. Without a clear process, the conversation can stall.

Preferred Trust helps sponsors give investors an established next step. We guide investors through the account-opening and funding process, coordinate required documentation and administer the investment within the retirement account.

A defined sponsor and investor workflow

A knowledgeable partner-support contact

Investor account-opening and funding assistance

Coordination of investment documentation

Status visibility during the onboarding process

Educational resources for appropriate use by your team

Ongoing account administration and reporting

Our Role

A custodian and administrator, not an investment promoter

Preferred Trust does not offer, endorse, recommend or sell investments. The investor selects the investment, conducts their own due diligence and determines whether it is appropriate for their financial circumstances.

The sponsor

Provides information about the investment and its offering.

The investor

Evaluates the opportunity, completes due diligence and makes the investment decision.

Preferred Trust

Administers the retirement account and processes the investor’s documented instructions.
